fear of the current inhibitions or closed mindset?
Many a times the young talent feels so fragile and hold on very tightly. They often feel like they need to
prove their parents or relations and get stuck in a closed mindset. And they get into a shell!
It’s almost impossible to pick up something when your mind is not free.
This is why emotional enrolment is the key to learning. No infant learned to walk by thinking about how to
walk or being told how to walk!!
Teachers (leaders/organizers/coaches) have two jobs. The first is to earn enrolment, the second is to
teach.
If the student / team member is unwilling to become open, afraid to let go of what they’re holding on to, then
better is going to be elusive.
Resistance is wily. It will come up with a thousand reasons to remain closed, narratives about entitlement,
security or corporate dynamics. Whatever it takes to stay still. Extinguish one and another will replace it.
Let’s get real or let’s not play.
