Karma at Work

February 7, 2020 The Editorial Board - Teamware Solutions

We all know / heard about Karma, its’ a different thing that you might believe it or not! Well, Karma inside a corporate has several dimensions.

1. Karma gives as good as it gets:

Let us take an example. Imagine there is someone in your team or unit who has a great attitude with a positive outlook. Always helpful to others in the team, willing to take up challenges, never say die attitude and great interpersonal skills. On the contrast you also find someone who is risk averse, pessimistic and has disagrees on almost all issues with others even though it might be the right thing/decision to take. When you look at these opposite personalities you will find that the former will be able to come out of any pressure scenario easily whereas the latter might turn an escalation into chaos.

Karma is nothing but one’s intentions or emotions towards external situations and how we can manage it well. So the more positive Karma the better you get and vice-versa. So be choosy to shape the collective Karma of your team /organization!

2. Karma is slow but for sure:

Sometimes it is very tough to judge how Karma works and when it starts giving results. Maybe in the short term and specific scenarios negative Karma might work out well. However, always remember the Butterfly effect! A small set of negative Karma accumulated over a period of time might bring disaster or undesirable effects sometime later. It is always good to constrain or restrict the negative Karma to manageable levels as it might be impossible to eradicate it. There is no Ideal world out there!

3. Karma is Good:

But all Karma is good. It helps learn and adjust to the real world! So never be afraid to face the collective Karma of your team/organization. We need different personalities in the team to balance it out. After all our what is career? Nothing but the sum total of all our experiences!

So, Karma makes us wise and learned, Karma never disappoints!
